Letter before Claim from Gladstones

Hi there, did some searching in the forum already and found that some operators use this solicitors to threaten action.

I have already appealed to them directly (they are fining me for parking over the line) - which they unsurprisingly turned down. They then told me I can appeal to IAS - which I didn't and just left it (this was Aug 2020).

Came home from Holiday yesterday to find a letter from Gladstones Solicitors - a Letter before claim.

What is my next step? I am not giving in to this as the space was not actually fully marked (painted on 3 sides only) and also the signage are tiny and high on lamp posts!

Thanks in advance!

I think nowadays Gladstones are just taking on rubbish cases that are so pathetic a judge will have tears in their eyes with laughter ?

If it goes as far as court, you need pictures of signs and the lines
Assume the PPC has sent you pictures.

Where Gladstones keep screwing it up for themselves is they add a fake amount to their claim....
How much did they add to the claim, probably £60 ?   Courts around England a Wales have spanked Gladstones because it's a very feeble attempt of double recovery

Are you aware that it was Gladstones, Davies and Hurley who set up the IPC / IAS.
They split when this was exposed so Davies is Gladstones and Hurley is the IPC/IAS

You must respond to a letter before claim.

1:  Deny the claim and ask them to explain the fake added on amount
2:  Tell them you are seeking debt advice as per the law ... PAP .. and you require a further 30 days

Nothing to be scared of with Gladstones, judges are well aware of the rubbish

Who is the PPC ?   You need to send them a SAR which can see in the NEWBIES thread

Thanks for the advice. They are trying to charge £80 solicitors fees and £35 court fees.

The court fees are allowed but the judge will not allow the solicitors fees.  The addon that we talk about is the "debt admin fees" or similar wording and that is not permitted.  Check out the NEWBIE sticky as you have been advised.
