There is never any promise on when they will arrive, but it is actually good news for recent requests if you've been waiting 6 weeks as it means it is more likely a new batch will arrive soon...
  • Just ordered one, my son will love this

I have recently became a customer of Octopus Energy and have applied for one of their free giant octopus cuddly toys, just wondering if anyone has any experience of this, did you get your octopus and if so how long did it take? I am really hoping it arrives before christmas as my son really wants one and it would be a nice surprise
To give you an idea, as no one seems to have actually adressed your question. in May 2020, Octopus said:

"Since March 2019 we have sent 3,594 large octopus plushies"

By comparison, at the end of April 2020, Octopus boasted 2.3m accounts (1.4m households), which had risen to 3.9m accounts (2.1m households) as of April 2021, and is presumably much higher now, not least by the taking on of almost 600,000 Avro customers.

The big ones in particular (as well as the small ones nowdays) apparently arrive on a slow boat from China.  How green is that?

Anyway, you do the maths as to when to expect yours. :)
I'm pretty sure that not every single octopus energy household will apply for an octopus, I dont think a lot of people actually know about them
  • I got mine in august applied in March so five mths my partner applied for a small one a couple of mths ago not recieved. Wish I had planted a tree to be honest but my daughter loves octopuses 🐙 so 🤷‍♀️

My one arrived 3 months after I ordered. So you better have an alternative in case you want to give it as a present.

This caused Octo toy to become out of stock with subsequent long delays people receiving since then https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/free-giant-octopus-toy-or-planted-tree-for-octopus-energy-customers-3628354

I received an octopus this week that I didn't order. Asked them to plant a tree, but that was back in January.
