Octopus Energy free octopus
I have recently became a customer of Octopus Energy and have applied for one of their free giant octopus cuddly toys, just wondering if anyone has any experience of this, did you get your octopus and if so how long did it take? I am really hoping it arrives before christmas as my son really wants one and it would be a nice surprise

They send them out in batches so it just depends on when the next batch of them comes into stock.can be anywhere from a few days to several weeks if there is no stock at the moment.1

Qew said:@K1977 Thanks for mentioning this. Being an ex-Avro customer put onto Octopus Energy, this wasn't mentioned. Still, I've just applied, and it's coming this way... eventually. It'll be a good present for a niece.2

It's a puppet! and only a finger one at that!
Thinking of their green credentials they like to promote, would it not be better to ask them to plant a tree on your behalf, rather than send you this bit of tut, that will probably soon end up in landfill?

"Since March 2019 we have sent 3,594 large octopus plushies"
By comparison, at the end of April 2020, Octopus boasted 2.3m accounts (1.4m households), which had risen to 3.9m accounts (2.1m households) as of April 2021, and is presumably much higher now, not least by the taking on of almost 600,000 Avro customers.
The big ones in particular (as well as the small ones nowdays) apparently arrive on a slow boat from China. How green is that?
Anyway, you do the maths as to when to expect yours.
