Thanks Jwil, Beanie, GAP and skint spice
I've spent the day keep finding more scissors, tape, glue and batteries. Now I have a place for stuff it's lighting up in my brain when I see stuff and I'm taking it to its new home - including stamps and other items. I have found so many things - now I have started grouping things - it is getting easier. I made a slot for 'hooks' earlier - and now I've found more... I had no idea I had so much tape. I nearly bought some special candles for cake - think indoor fireworks - and I've just found a pack of 2 so I don't need to.
Sis isn't now coming tomorrow so I have a bit longer to sort stuff. I'm definitely going to send my nephew away with a craft box when he comes though - it can include scissors and double side tape and possibly some glue - as well as the more traditional card toppers, stickers, blank cards and envelopes etc. I will also see if I can give him some of my hundreds (not exaggerating) of pens.
You'll all be pleased to know that I unpacked and packed the dishwasher it's the little things... I have also bought myself a battery tester so I can see whether the various batteries I've found need specialist disposal or whether they still have life. Don't bin them - it causes fires...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Great progress made.
Definitely don't bin batteries, all supermarkets and most shops that sell them are obliged to have collection points for them. They've just added them to our recycling collections too, makes it so much easier."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Jwil, I didn’t know that. I thought it was pot luck who would have a battery recycling point! I always put spent batteries straight in my coat pocket so I remember to take them to a shop next time I’m out, and was really surprised that they took them off me at the garage when I enquired.Re duplicates and scissors. You can never have too many pairs of scissors. 9 seems a very sensible amount to me.Debt Jan 2017 = £42kMay 2022 = £15k6

Waves at Jwil too
Had a lazy start to the day. Body clock still on holiday time. Getting up around 6 tomorrow for DD is going to be such a shock to the system.
Made some art last 🌃 using tape. Will see how successful or otherwise it was shortly. Yesterday I managed a short walk to the PO. Want to do better today. Still planning some decluttering and tidying.
Have fun!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Waves at Beanie...
Really pleased with how my art turned out. I used small flat canvas boards this time and was more mindful where I put the tape. It worked really well. There was no ripping and only occasional paint bleed. @Fortune_Smiles - how do you deal with paint bleed?
Today I plan to have a shower and dress, put the washing on and then get out for a walk so it's done - and I can get some fresh air and make proper use of my trainers. I will then return to the housework stuff. I've brought the hooks down that I found upstairs and put them in their slot in the bureau. I plan to use them in the garage at some point. When I have a bit more free £ I want to buy a peg board for use for tools so I can see what I have and so everything has a place.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
