Prosperous soul embraces creativity & mortgage neutrality

Hi All
The good news is I have been able to get a face-to-face appointment with my preferred doctor this afternoon. Feels like a miracle - although I will need to shuffle some work meetings round. Hopefully this way I can get help and referrals and might even get agreement to help with PIP.
Just having breakfast - then need to rush round and go into work for a bit. Some urgent forms need completing at work and sending off - and the person who should have been doing them is unexpectedly off. Need to get a senior manager to sign them too.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

@savingholmes if the appointment is a miracle, you deserve it! As my grandfather used to say 'it's always darkest just before the dawn.' I think you're due a massive breakthrough. Onwards and upwards love Humdinger xx6

Thanks @Humdinger1
My new potential fave GP works part time so not easy to get hold of. Plus face to face not had that for a couple of years. Much easier to go through difficult stuff face to face. Really hope she spares me the time.
DS now c19 clear but 3 other relatives have it.
Hovering over someone helping with some work forms so I can get them signed and sent off. Still have a couple of work meetings to go.

Well GP was helpful. She's potentially making 2 new referrals. She's more than doubled the strength of one medication which she wants to see if it helps with insomnia - will review in 3 months. She's ordered a blood test for me. I'm also going to try some weight loss meds and see if they help. Apparently if I haven't lost 5% of my weight within 3 months they aren't working. Need to go to Mr As later to collect them. I suppose I'm investing in my health by confronting these things and taking action. Progress - even if not in the way I originally envisaged at the start of the year. Luckily I have a pre-pay cert so not costing me extra to try these things.
Ironically - just made a banana loaf and going out with DD for tea. Hopefully pick up the new meds after that - and can see if they work & what the side effects are.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

You are doing well, why is your ex being a dufus?
Hope the new meds are helpful.
Do you need a break from the news? It is bringing me down too, such a worry!4 -
Thanks Alchemilla I ration my news exposure but any is too much.
Had nice meal and chat with DD. Agreed she will go on CT at Ex mil and come off mine. Saves her £50 and takes pressure off our relationship.
Apparently Ex has had an offer accepted on a house in a good area. DD may move in with him once it goes through but seller not got anywhere yet. He's also bought a fleece car....But may give her his old one...

OOH so many positives. Brilliant you got to see your doctor. Fingers crossed for Exs house which sounds like it'll help DD and also good news to hear DS is in the clear. Hope you get to do some fun things at the weekend.

Positive news from the drs. Hope the new meds help with the insomnia. Sounds a good move for DD to go on the CT at ex-MIL. You would be able to get a 25% discount on your council tax which, in a world of rising bills would help.
