Thank you everyone for your kind words of support during this hard time they have been really lovely to read.

Well the past few days have been a total whirlwind of phone calls and emotions. Plus it didn't help that I was emotional due to Mum's 15th anniversary. But I actually went out for the day with my mate Trevor to Bluewater yesterday where we tried to spend money..but I had a hard time for some reason. I did get some lovely new or ornaments to go on our new tree (my excuse is all the Christmas stuff is packed up and in the storage unit with boxes on top of them!!!)

I think things will start to calm down now as we've handed everything over to the Co-op to do the probate and they took all the details over the phone today. It's now left with them 🙂

I've just got to phone a couple of people to explain there will be no funeral as we've gone for a direct cremation and will have a small gathering in April on mother in law's birthday to scatter the ashes across Seaford Head.

I've done the hoovering downstairs and now having a cup of tea and getting my energy back 🙂

Short nights sleep here too.  OH was home late and it then took me ages to settle down and sleep so functioning on just under 5 hours.  I did put the kitchen to be last night.  A full day at work today but
Bed made, clothes picked up
Kitchen tidied,
Chicken out of freezer for tonight
Another file moved to new PC so I could file reply from yesterdays admin
Email reply sent about another admin task started yesterday
Bins and recycling out (and they're both full so I'm happy)
Big warm hugs to all that need or want (it's freezing here)

Put cat's toys back in their box, they have been helping themselves over night

Rubbish put out and cleaned the bin.

Booster jab tomorrow

Plus I am being given 10 free trees by the council, so need to go and pick those up.

Morning lovelies,

A new grey day here, but admin is getting done.  Looks like big bill is going to be cancelled.  Slowly moving files to new pc.  Next is to get the saving and spending sheets updated.  

Bed made, clothes picked up
DW sorted, kitchen tidy


I have ironing to do when I get fed up with admin, but dining room is lovely and warm so am enjoying being in here  pottering on the computers

OH has a video interview and Squeak has a science lesson and I am incapable of being quiet so I may need to go upstairs and do something productive lol.

I need to trot upstairs and dig out a ball of wool or 2 for another mobius scarf. I've done one for OH's friend and it was so quick I did a couple of extras for V!nted.. clearing some stash and getting some quids.. not a huge profit but a bit of space!

Some cretin tried dragging Moomin into his house yesterday just round the corner from our house and today she has been amazing and super brave and reported it to the police.. We don't think they will do much but if he does anything again it is logged and she has done something to try to protect others.. I am so proud of her bravery..

I was working for an hour this morning, but managed to tidy round and start WMx1 of 3 before I went out.  We have been given our shingles jab and didn't cry.   DH has received a hospital appointment letter to see the cardiologist *next week* - wow!  - and the GP rang to say that his results from his recent blood test were not good and she would be referring him to another specialist asap.  Since the start of lockdown, we've never had such prompt service.

I have just been out for a walk with Rosie and managed to miss all the rain squalls today.  Now I'm ready for a cuppa and Repair Shop, but that leaves me still with various odd desk jobs to be done this evening.

At OH's request I am making him hot chilli curry, I'm have a jacket spud!
