What's Your Favourite Sat-Nav App ?
Started driving two months ago and all is going well. I do however get a bit stuck in areas or places I've never been to before ( especially which lanes to use ). I recently started using Google Maps Sat-Nav on my phone which seems to help somewhat get me in the right direction for my destination.
Which sat nav do you guys use and do you have any tips for me ?

Waze. I like the traffic info, speed limit and speed cam alerts.

As long as its got live traffic....that's the big plus for me0

a map. you know..the paper ones.....ok, I'm old school (or merely old)
Plus I've had too many near misses with people who are so busy looking at the satnav they don't see the other vehicles around them.
I also think that people should be charged with dangerous driving when they have a satnav/phone stuck to the wind screen. saw one the other day that was directly in front of the person's face. just waiting for a crash.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe and Old Style Money Saving boards. Another Waze user here. Although it’s less helpful than it used to be when you could choose quickest or shortest route.Sibling is happier with Google maps. However my tip would be don’t rely on the satnav. It’s great for spotting delays and rerouting if the motorway is at a standstill but they’re not infallible so always check your route on a map before you set off.
I’ve been sent round the back of a hospital where there’s no way in (for example) because it’s technically the same postcode, and also down some ridiculously narrow country roads when it’s decided for reasons known only to itself that the windy route is preferable.
Always have an overview in your head of where you’re going, and if it tries to send you somewhere that really doesn’t look right, then don’t just follow it blindly. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Sat nav app me brain is the normal method .Used Co-Pilot twice to pinpoint a location from a few yards away .Preference if needed would be Google maps as it looks more accurate in 2021 , plus a n other sings its praises every time we meet halfway .0

I'll give Waze a go then. I've installed it and it seems much more like an actual sat nav ( tomtom, garmin etc ) rather than just a map with directions like Google Maps.1

I heard the lane assist isn't great on Waze.
I'll try it out over the next couple of days anyway and see which one suits me0 -

But wrong lane, so what you just find a new place you have never been before, you get back to where you need to be.Life in the slow lane2
