i'm in a similar situation to the OP in that i inherited shares (a few years ago). My shares are in 5 companies but each share holding is only a few shares in each company i.e 20 to 50 shares with a total value of roughly £700.

I set up an Equiniti Shareview account a while back and i can see all the different shares listed in one place (3 are listed as "Corporate Sponsored Nominee" and 2 share holdings are "Shares")

I've just taken alook at the Equinity Shareview website and they charge minimum £45 for online selling.
Can i move these shares to X-O or do i have to stay with Equiniti?
if i can move them can someone explain the process please? ((i've got no interest in these shares, there just sat with Equiniti).

Equiniti are the registrar. They provide share dealing as a sideline. Yes, you can move the shares to x-o as long as you have the certificates (you are actually moving from certificated shares to shares held in a nominee account and Equiniti will still be the registrar). The process is outlined above and is detailed on the x-o website.
