Return bags rip-off?

Before the charge came in I often got 13 to 15 carrier bags in my online order many with one or two small items in.

It's because of how the pickers work. It's not one guy walking round the whole supermarket, it's ten people all covering an aisle each, so if you only get one item from that aisle, that's all that goes in the bag.

At least that's what I've been told!

One week I got a "you give we give" voucher as the only item in one a bag from Ocado - on the odd occasion when the delivery driver has not used all the bags they have been refunded when the final total has been issued - I don't normally bother to send bags back and have a couple of dustbin bags full of them, last week I did stuff a load into one carrier, said to the driver I had no idea how may there were and I was refunded for 60

celand delivers in bags and although they charge you for them, they don't refund when they take them away.. I did get a free short-dated cottage cheese on Sunday though, which was a first from them. Waitrose sends short-dated items free, if you don't accept subs and it's the only item they can send to fulfill the order.
