Hi Custardy, yes, I do mean Post Office.

We have one nearby in Bosham, West Sussex, inside a Co-Operative store. We pass by it regularly so we rarely have to make a special trip. There is usually not much of a queue.

The main PO in Chichester closed down a few years ago and the services were moved around the corner, again inside another store, this time Sussex Stationers Book Shop. I don't use that but I am told the queues are usually long and slow moving as it is the only PO in the centre of the city.
A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".

No idea if its local. however as an example. Look at the opening hours here.
Must be a large unit with these hours

RM delivery offices are under utilised by many who default to POs for returns.

I sent a Hermes parcel recently using QR to print the label at the shop, I'm sure there was a reference number provided in case the QR was unreadable.  Do amazon provide anything similar?

Thanks Custardy. Yes, I know that Delivery Office. However it is on the far side of the City to where we live so not an ideal option for us.

I have been there a couple of times many years ago to collect a parcel after a needing a signature failed home delivery when we were out but I normally now just use the internet to rebook a failed delivery.

They'll pretty much provide any option possible, covering all variations of customer. For some you may have to ask via live chat or call.
I usually get them to have Hermes pick up. If, as can happen, Hermes don't turn up they've been known to send DPD instead.
