Does anyone know whether the Visa Credit Card ban for 2022 is for the whole of Amazon? In terms of all their sites and also for the individual sellers too? I thought the marketplace style of Amazon meant that individual sellers could take the payment methods they wanted. Or do all the payments have to go through Amazon's Company Account first? Thanks.

Doesn't seem as if anything's set in stone as yet though.

I thought all payments go via Amazon which is why you run into S75 problems with Market Place purchases... certainly never seen any offering any different payment options to Amazon themselves.

Thanks for the replies. I was asking. If you are an Amazon customer and you buy from individual sellers on their marketplace, are they also unable to accept Visa Credit Cards? I'll make up a shop, say Roses in London. If I bought off their Amazon shop, would the credit card ban exist in the same way as if I was buying a Kindle from Amazon in their warehouse? Also, does this apply to Amazon.co.uk. Amazon in Ireland,  Amazon.com? or just Amazon in the UK?

Thanks Sandtree. Sometimes they seem separate in theory, but probably not, so will take it that all purchases likely go through Amazon first, so Visa Credit Card ban will apply to all. Thanks.

What does it show on your bank statement when you use these sellers?

And yes its Amazon globally, some regions are actually adding surcharges on (which are illegal in the UK) to cover the extra fees instead.

As Amazon take the payment then pass it to the retailer. Then yes it will effect the marketplace. Hence why a S75 fails on Marketplace sellers. As you are paying Amazon.
