I'm not sure whether it is the regulating idiots who forgot to exclude the need for the statement for zero amounts, or the lazy banks who couldn't be bothered to exclude them. It pales into insignificance compared with the bureaucratic EU idiocy of having to renew the bank feed connection into accounting software every 3 months, although at least that doesn't cut down trees.
