O2 Sim Wap access

Hi - not sure if anyone can help - I got hold of one of those 02 sims with the free 300 texts and 1mb free wap for £10 per month. The free text's work fine, but I seem to be getting charged for all wap access?
Has anyone else had this problem? Dont know if I have to activate this somehow? Thanks for any help!

u have to make sure that ur phone is set to 02 WAP GSM and not GPRS otherwise u will be charged.

According to my sims you get GPRS free as well.

I have used one and the WAP over GPRS was free - am suprised you are having a problem.

Was it within the first 24 hours after your first credit? (the free stuff texts etc doesn't always kick in immediately)

my fone charges if it's set to GPRS.i found out by accident cos i couldn't access certain sites on my new fone that i could on my 'old' fone.hadn't a clue why so played abt and changed the setting.soon changed it back.

tried it again by using GPRS and i was defo charged for it.i've been using the sims since August last year and it's always been the same on my fones.GPRS is quicker tho.......

Ive got a question about o2 if anyone can help. My mate has got the samsung v200 on virgin i have the samsung e800 on o2, she has tried sending me a picture message twice, but each time when i try and open it, it says, broken message, and i cant view it. its still costing her the 40 odd p to send it.
i have sent a photo message to my phone, to check its not a prob with my phone. and recieved that ok, and i asked another friend to send one off her phone and got that ok. so has anyone got any ideas about this "broken message" stuff. is it that my mate is just doing it wrong?
thanks for any help, ive been looking around on the net and manuel for answers. but cant find nothing. and its driving me round the bend
