Any idea of when we might receive our credit from Igloo/E.on?

Eon are asking to set up a DD is it possible to switch to another provider at this point or stick? Its nearly 25p/kwh for their daily rate which is appalling wish I'd never taken MSE's advice and switched to them in the first place

Just ask to go on their SVR?

It just means you have to make a journey to the bank to put the cheque into the account they really should just send it to the account as a transfer.

Because I'm not with Eon, they won't have my bank details. I suppose a cheque is the next best thing. If I actually get a cheque from them, I'll be happy just to have got my refund back.

This is a real pain isn't it. Igloo got taken over by Eon in what, october? Igloo still took their monthly direct debit in november. I've cancelled it

Didn't ever get my rebate from Npower that was many hundreds unless it got automatically credited to my next supplier if it did I didn't notice. Dont' think I'm going to set up a DD with Eon they can bill me

You will probably find if you dont set up a DD, they can charge you a higher tarriff (and are allowed to, as the price cap varies by payment method)

A few years back we had just switched away from a company that went bust. It was about 6 months before we got the credit refunded and that’s when the SOLR only had one group of customers to deal with.
In order to issue our refund the SOLR created an account for us. For a year we received regular paper bills from them, correctly stating no usage and no charge

Are you going by their email when they told you your account is ready? They were giving the more expensive option which can be reduced by setting up a direct debit.
