Any idea of when we might receive our credit from Igloo/E.on?

I switched from Igloo to Octopus six days prior to Igloo going bust in September. I have been in touch with E.On and they tell me it will take a while to get my refund from them for Igloo. I am owed £345.16 and could do with the money. Does anyone have any idea of how long this might take?

The bad news is that you are well down the list - ex customers of Igloo could be forced to wait for 6-9 months for credits as EON Next will put the customers who have stayed with them ,first.
  • That is awful news - I am in the same boat switched to EDF before Igloo went under (melted   :D )- not best pleased as they owe me £600+ maybe a complaint to the Ombudsman?
  • A complaint is pointless, it isnt going to speed anything up.

My supplier went bust end of September, I dont have any complicating factors such as switching around the time my supplier went bust....guess what? I still dont have the credit back yet. Its a slow process, shove in complicating factors like the OP has and it will be even slower.
  • Just went on to the Eon-Next website: here's a screenshot:

Might be due cash back sooner than we thought - Happy days - but believe it when I see it! - 'cheques in the mail' heard that one before - who issues cheques these days?

  • Yes another company has done the same, absolutely archaic practice. Just credit it to the new bills for crying out loud.

How can they do that if they’ve already left & are being supplied by someone else?

i suppose thats the issue but the vast proportion of people will have moved over to the agreed Supplier of Last Resort, at least give them the option.

If they’ve just stayed with the SoLR then any credit is transferred to the new account

Thats not what one provider has done, it was in another thread. Cheques all round, regardless if you were with the SoLR or not.
