Bosch Faulty Washing Machine Help

Hi all, I bought an integrated Bosch washing machine earlier this year and have been having issues as follows:
5/2 Purchased from a well known on line AO

13/7 Machine showed error 35 - booked repair  - Earliest date was 20/7

19/7 Error stopped ( tried every day) so I delayed repair to test machine and eventually cancelled

30/9 Machine again showed error 35  - booked repair for 1/10

1/10 Engineer arrived said E35 was new door lock and he didn’t have part had to order and would be earliest 7/10

6/10 you cancel the next days repair due to staff illness and reschedule for 12/10

12/10 Engineer replaces door lock

14/11 Machine shows error 35

so it keeps stopping showing the same error and i have to wait a week or two each time without a useable machine

does anyone have any advice for me ? I have contacted Bosch customer resolutions department who haven't resolved anything just confirm i have to wait a week for an engineer to come, I am outside the 6 months to ask for a refund as the first error corrected itself after a week?

any advice appreciated

thanks

Joan

You need to be speaking to ao.com regarding this as your contract is with them, not the manufacturer. Under the law they (the retailer) will have a single opportunity at repair and if this fails then you are allowed to ask for a refund. You're correct in that as it's been over 6  months an amount can be deducted to take into account he usage you have had but you may want to argue that you brought this fault to their attention within 6 months and therefore a full refund (or replacement machine) should still stand.
  • Thanks Neil but its been Bosch who have been out to repair as AO just refer to them and their warranty, i feel like im stuck in the middle!

  • You need to be firmer with AO.  It's them you have a contract with, and it's them that must meet your reasonable requirements under consumer law.  They're palming you off onto Bosch because the warranty route is via Bosch, and it means they (AO) don't have to deal with it.  You don't have to accept that.

Exactly, which is why I said you need to be pushing back on AO.com because your consumer rights are with them.
