With your conditions I expect you have support from the occupational therapy team. Have you talked to your OT about how to use your new chair?
I don't have an occupational therapy team, just specialist doctors and an autism support worker, but this isn't the sort of thing any of them deal with.
If any of your family, or the support worker could just sit with you for a few minutes and help you go through any emails you received from the company after you placed the order, this would help you.

If the company did not send you an email (or a paper copy - but you've already said they didn't do that) that details things like your right to cancel, and any fees you might have to pay to return it - they then cannot charge you *anything* for the return.  They would *have* to give you back all your money including the delivery charges.

If the person isn't sure about what to do next - have them read this thread.

You can, of course, keep the chair and try to sell it, but to be honest, you'll probably end up with less money back than if you return it.   Second hand furniture (even in good condition) just isn't worth much money these days (unless it's antique or something).  However, at the end of the day - keeping your stress levels down is just as important as the money - so do what you think is best - but please, at least consider getting someone to help check through your emails, as that way you *could* end up with all your money back.
