Really. 20 years ago people were saying the opposite - tortoise and hare.
Woodford became a star for making the right calls and seeing through the hype. A disciple of Buffet.
He was a visionary: I wonder what happened to him and the funds he ran?

His investors are still trying to recoup their money I think through a group action.

Thats just a few of the ones who didn't know what they were invested in that stayed in until the end. The rest made their money from him in the many years before.

Not a visionary. Sometimes investors just don't see or realise the obvious. Different funds , different era a decade or so on.

To be fair to the equity income category, Woodford was investing in things that clearly did not fall into that category.

Will the investors have had the FSCS 85K protection?

Woodford finally left Perpertual in 2014 to start his own fund management business. That's when matters started going wrong.

What for? The fund didn't collapse at the end. It just had some relatively poor performance, was closed and shut down. Funds shut all the time.

There's something amiss with the valuation and sale of some of the unquoted portfolio. Link have questions to answer. Not least that investors that are being advised by Woodford bought the stakes.
