                    we sold and bought 4 mths ago, my buyer has got in touch today stating we never told him the boiler was condemed last year (it wasn't, it just needed some work doing which we got done straight away, boiler was working when we moved in july ,he then went on to say that he keeps finding major issues and it's going to cost 20,000 to put right, granted it needed rewiring but he would have seen that when he viewed as it had the old style plug sockets and light switches, the kitchen and bathroom were brand new 6 mth before we put it on the market. I know for a fact he has totally gutted the house and every room is down to bare brick , anyhow he is contacting his solicitors next week to speak about the issues....should I expect a letter from his solicitor saying we have to pay for the issues rectifying ? Its not something I can afford to do owing to the fact that the house was valued at 270,000, he offered 263,000 which we acctepted, then when he had the valuation done they said it was worth 235,000 so we let him have it for that meaning I had to get a bigger mortgage than I wanted to get

            Ignore. Usually the best way. Buyer beware! (Presuming you answered everything honestly.) If they didn't ask, unless it was something like subsidence or knotweed, you're not obliged to tell.

            Ignore him. Caveat emptor. If you do get a solicitor letter I’d be very surprised. Block all contact with him and don’t let it stress you out.8

            thank you, it did worry me a little, we hid nothing from him and told the truth on the form we filled out7

            How did he contact you? If through the EA ask them not to forward any further messages.

he bought he house, he had the opportunity to get surveys etc. Nothing to do to with you now.
I moved at the same time. The integrated fridge freezer stopped working on day one and there was a damp smell that could only be rectified by ripping out the bathroom(to uncover a large smelly puddle underneath the bath).But that’s life. I never dreamed of going back to the previous owner. It’s my house.2
