scaffolding quote

  • Sounds very cheap.
But no way I'd arrange this - your roofer should be quoting for the whole job including whatever scaffolding he needs, which he arranges.
Where/how did you find choose the roofer?
  • Our neighbours have had scaffolding up and in part infringes on our property, their HA arranged for it to go up and it's been up nearing 6 months now. According to the HA this is a new record previous record was around 12 weeks.
It also took them most of that time to get the scaffolding correct

Did the HA ask your permission for the neighbouring house's scaffolding to encroach on your property? If that were me I'd be demanding it be removed.

It was agreed so that they could fix the shared chimney, from what we can see it was another bodged job and now they aren't responding to calls or emails. When they have responded they argue we aren't the customer

We  were with the HA prior to RTB, but its certainly put me off being next door to another HA property in future.

You may not be their customer but you can insist they remove the scaffolding that encroaches your property.
I own my own home and unfortunate enough to live next door to a HA property and have had no end of problems with them. They wanted to place scaffolding across my land and I refused, still waiting for them to go down the legal route.
