A customer service person based her answer on you advising that you had been charged the wrong amount? They would have no more knowledge than that.
When the refund was checked it was discovered there was a mistake on the website and you ha d, in fact, been charged the correct amount.

My point is that it is unclear from the postings what the OP saw, for how long, what they actually paid, hence the OP can reference the T&C for themselves as only they know what happened.
They can then, if they wish, go back to Currys knowing what T&Cs say.0
