Sainsburys Credit Card stopped sending postal statements = Missed payments

My issue is in the title really. I've never missed a CC payment in my life, but have missed the last 2 months as I wasn't sent a statement by post (my normal trigger reminder).
I accept it's my responsibility to pay but i feel financially "tripped up" by Sainsburys.
I called them and they wavered one months fees but it's the affect on my credit rating that concerns me.
Any advice would be gratefully received.

As you say, you accept its your responsibility. Set up some kind of automated payment to at least make the minimum, put a reminder on your phone/email, set up a spreadsheet etc.... some things you have to take on the chin and learn from them.
Didnt realise credit card providers still sent out postal statements tbh...set up online servicing.3 -
Set up an automatic payment for the minimum amount. This way you'll never miss a payment. Then manually pay the remainder off each month (and/or whenever you remember).2

Although I clear all balances each month, have a DD setup for the minimum payment on two of my cards and full payment on the third. (That's just the way it worked out when i was setting them up.) That way, any lapses in my memory are covered.0 -
Tbh you know you have a CC bill to pay every month and don't really need a reminder of that.
You should instead have wondered if the bill was maybe just lost in the post or something and still knew you had to pay.
But regardless they didn't just stop sending the bills by post without first telling you on more than one occasion that paper billing was being stopped. So you either ignored the deadline or have the worst postman in the UK who failed to deliver all the warnings.
I got three that I remember getting. maybe more.1 -
I need to pull in money from various places to my current account to pay my credit card bill. However I do have it setup to pay the minimum amount by direct debit. However my credit card provider (JLP) sends me a text message a week before the date the bill has to be paid with a reminder. No mention of amounts owed, just that the bill has to be paid by such and such a date. You could explore if your card provider provides the same facility?HTH0

Sainsburys should not simply just stop sending statements - I would raise a complaint with them.
Going forward, although there is absolutely no requirement for you to do so, it might be wise to consider setting up a DD for the minimum amount.
Also, inform them you want paper statements sent.0 -
