I parked my car for 4 weeks while I went on holiday to Spain to celebrate me and my wife's anniversary.
So the penalty charge now stands at £180 for the three tickets.
Even at £180, it looks to be pretty cheap parking. Rack rate at Liverpool airport for 4 weeks would run to around £300.

That aside, if you can filibuster this out beyond 6 months you may avoid paying altogether, but if Merseyrail successfully prosecute within that period, you could be looking at four figures.

Use whatever appeal service is available without revealing the driver's identity.

Explain that the keeper was away therefore the penalty notices were not properly served, and the keeper was enable to pay the reduced rate, which is unfair.

Take photos of the tiny sign in daylight and in the dark without flash from a driver's perspective to show that it could not have been seen, therefore the Ts and Cs were an unfair contract term as  defined by the CRA 2015.

If there is a complaints procedure, use that. Contact the CEO of Merseyrail to complain about the unfair signage making the car park an entrapment zone.

Use any and all delaying tactics to get this past 6 months.
Amazing response I cant thank you enough!

I think I have already revealed my identity in my first email explaining I was on holiday and didn't see any signs giving my full name?

    That's usually the case,
Most signs don't have the victim's full name on them.   ;)

How much would have 4 weeks airport parking cost you?

More than £180.  Rack rate at LJLA is nearer to £300.

I used the carpark thinking it was free, if I would of known I would of parked on the street or elsewhere. I dont mind paying the £180 but not even getting the chance to pay at the discounted rate is unfair.  I have asked them for this opportunity. The carpark is entrapment false advertising all over it. Park and ride, stress free travel. absolutely nowhere within the car park is there a sign to say no overnight parking allowed I checked it before I boarded the train. Its unfair and wrong.

But surely you didn't think you'd get 4 weeks parking for free (or the cost of a couple of rail tickets from the city to LJLA)?  There's nowhere in the world of private parking would you get that!

I guess he has another parking problem he now needs forum help with. I'm reluctant to put much effort into a case where the chances of knowing what eventually happens are remote.
