My Talktalk contract ends 6th Jan. Spoken to retentions and they are not interested in matching Vodafone.
Can I specify a start date for new Vodafone contract. Unable to get through to customer services.

But as a general rule, 14-17 days is the switch window, but in your case Christmas will get in the way with these timescales so expect another day or two.Note that it doesn't matter if it changover happens after Jan 6 - although you'll be charged a full month in advance from TalkTalk you'll get the bulk of that back in due course.0
