Ryanairflights gone up: take em or hold longer?

Options
Appreciate this is subject to the vagaries of how Ryanair do their pricing, but any anecdotal advice would be appreciated.

I was pricing up flights all last week. Confirming Friday pm. Went on hour after latest check to book and they'd gone up by a fair bit. Left it for the night. On Sunday they went up again.

I've not booked as there seems to be space on the flight, and there's chat in the news that there will be flight price cuts for winter flights, but not quite sure what to do for the best. It's flying for Christmas so I'm not flex on dates.

How likely is it they'll come back down at all? I planned to keep a watch this week then make a call.
Back on the MSE wagon after going dark for a while.

For Christmas, I would have already booked. Flights will be rammed and whilst there may well be fare reductions for the third Tuesday in January, there would have to be another lockdown for fares to fall at Christmas, it is one of the peak weeks of the year for travel

Book anything in the latter half of December or first half of January as early as possible at a price you're happy with as it's peak travel. Prices for these dates likely won't come down again.

I looked at London-Paris flights before booking the train for an event I need to be at about a week before Christmas and they were tracking around £60 for flights or £90 for the train (which was cheaper end-to-end), both have risen significantly in price since then and I'd be lucky to book for less than £150 now with either option on the dates I need.
