I've had an aerial connected by a verified installer. Very good and not very expensive.
They could also run the cable down to where you want it.
I've also drilled through a wall and run an extension behind curtains and around architraving successfully so you have several options.
    This.

Cables can be hidden in plain sight or routed outside and back in again if there are any difficult objects to get around.
Never had any success with indoor aerials.

We have an indoor aerial, it is on the windowsill. We have a great picture and never loose signal. But we do live on top of a hill and our roof aerial was disrupted by windy weather. Indoor version is better for us.
  • It's not difficult or expensive to get a new cable put in.
