As the father of a copper, I can tell you that they not only see this sort of thing all the time, they have to stay polite when "the public" are being aggressive, and stupid.Thrugelmir said:

As frustrating as it is I don't understand how they can get away with speaking to the public like that.bargepole said:If they gave your partner a verbal NIP, there is no requirement to send a postal NIP within 14 days, or at all.
They have up to 6 months from the offence date to lay papers at Court, and if they do, your partner will receive a summons to attend the Magistrates' Court nearest to where the offence took place. If pleading guilty, this can be done by post, with no need to attend. If pleading not guilty, there will be a plea hearing, and the case will be listed on a later date for trial, and the Defendant will need to file a statement of Defence, and any evidence relied upon.
Also, there is no such thing as "the fast lane"The pen is mightier than the sword ..... and I have many pens.1 -

trayscragg said:Hi everybody,
Hopefully I am posting in the right forum and somebody can shed some light on the below.
My partner was pulled over by an undercover police car on the motorway over 2 weeks ago now for having illegally spaced number plate and for undertaking them as they were hogging the fast lane.
Anyhow we changed the number plate the following day, however we've had nothing through the post since then about any NIP or anything on the driving license online which seems strange to me.
At the time they had told my partner that they will receive the letter in the post with regards to how many points they would receive for the plate and the under taking. Its been over 14 working days now and we've still not received anything? Have we got ground to appeal this if something does eventually come through or could they have potentially forgot about it? The car is registered at the current address and so is the license.
Thanks in advanceThey were certainly not 'polite' trust me.So you were also in the car then? You keep stating 'we', who is the registered keeper of the car? and is the V5C correct? ie the address. You may get better assistance on the pepipoo website“You’re only here for a short visit.
