It's horrible but it's not doing you any harm. I'd just leave it.

I'd prefer to see a photo of the two houses together, before saying whether I agree with you.

No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

That'll be such a pretty waterfall without a gutter.  They might change their mind after getting soaked for the nth time.

Would the BR dept be interested as NDNs have changed the outside appearance of the house?  Used materials not in keeping.  Perhaps email and ask for advice? If they say nothing to do with them, try CAB.

That is awful and I'd p*ssed off too.

A right 'bodge it' job!  That looks like the roofing panels we've fitted to our garden shed ...and, yes, without guttering every fall of rain will result in a very pretty waterfall over your neighbour's front door.

With no flashing between wall and roof the rain will come down the back as well so they can get wet twice.
  • And the screws holding on the plastic sheeting should be on the peaks and not the troughs

and why use white screwcaps ??

I'd guess because that's what they had for fixing the white cladding and corner trims.

I wonder if they used SS screws?

Slightly off topic but looking a the timber in the second photo.. I'm pretty sure it's not pressure treated so not really suitable for exterior use. You may find this useful when discussing with your neighbour.. he's less likely to backup the contractor if he knows they are doing a poor job.
This is the second lot of cowboy builders they've employed.  The last lot did a botch job on their patio.
Is your neighbour a elderly or vulnerable person who is being exploited by unscrupulous traders?
Good point......because these cockroaches can spot an elderly/vulnerable person a mile off
