Ecogen Micro CHP Fit Payments

When I had my Baxi Ecogen MCHP boiler installed in 2011 I received a FiT plan from NPower to say that FiT payments would continue for 25 years. However it now turns out that was incorrect - 10 years is it, for micro CHP generation. So now, payments have ceased.
I am wondering if it is worth applying for SEG payments. It seems I am eligible, but I would need to have a dedicated export meter installed instead of the generation meter the Ecogen has.
Is there anyone out there in a similar position, or who knows about installing an export meter?
If what I said helped you, please "Thank" the relevant post. It cheers me up somewhat..

If you have a SMETS2 smart meter then this already has the export metering built in (in fact my old SMETS1 had it).
You need to apply to your chosen SEG payment supplier for another MPAN, as it is classed separately from the import MPAN.
I did look into it for my solar PV at the time when SEG was announced, but I decided, for me, it was worth remaining with the FIT system instead. If you have a solar array larger than the max 4kW permitted under FIT, then SEG starts to make sense.
I realise this is not quite what you are asking about, but if you have the SMETS2 meter then you are part way there.
