Sky due for renewal, some questions

Hi,
My Sky TV package is due for renewal.
I was thinking about just cancelling as my younger sisters prefer netflix/disney+ anyway.
I do enjoy the variety when I get the chance though, and watching the premier league.
I've read some people get calls after they cancel offering as much as 50% off. With that much discount I would probably stay.
I tend to always have my phone on do not disturb with a whitelist for family. I get anxiety with phones, as do many people with Autism.
Will they offer discounts via any other medium if I cancel?
Do I need to wait until exactly 31 days before end of contract to cancel, to not get canellation fee?
Thanks!
E.

You can ring and tell them you don’t want it unless at so and so price. After I cancelled my TV I could get occasional call or letter saying so and so deal but it wasn’t anything that wasn’t publicly available with little bit or searching.
You need to give sky 14 day notice as far as I know.
Crap discount for me even after speaking to retention dept for broadband. £28pm increased to £40 reduced to £35 because of loyalty…
I am moving from sky to virgin because of the current volt deal and £24 for 350mb internet sounds hot!1 -

You can let them know you want to cancel as early as you like although the 31 days notice won’t kick in till 31 days before the end of your contract date.
You can receive offers via the app, email as well as the phone.

Last time I was 30 days from the end of minimum term I rang and gave my 30 day notice of cancellation.
I didn't receive any emails or calls but I kept checking my online desktop account every day and approximately 14 days from cancellation an offer appeared on my account.0 -
My contract ended a couple of weeks ago and jumped from £18/mo to £31 although they could offer me a special deal for £26. I phoned, told them to stuff it and it's now £21 for the next 18 months.I didn't have to argue although he did have to consult his manager
We dont have any lights bells and whistles, just Sky Signature with a SKY Q boxNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0
