Getting first direct £50 leaving bonus

I switched to first direct to get the £100 bonus which I got. Now there’s a £50 bonus to leave after 6 months if you’ve paid in 1000 every month for 6 months which I have done.   Want to make sure I get this right. My switch to them completed may 8th so 6 months later is 8th November when I presume I can leave to get the bonus which you have to request by contacting to say your leaving. I want to do switch to another bank. So I just want to make sure I do things right to get the leaving bonus if anyone has done this.

I thought they'd dropped that offer - do you have a current link to it?

Edit: yes, this was discussed at https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6296986/first-direct-leaving-100, although the view was that you ought to be able to get it if it was offered when switching.

Edit 2: anecdotally, they've sometimes rejected such claims if they're unconvinced by the rationale, as the offer is intended only for those who are genuinely unhappy with the service (and can articulate this in a meaningful way): https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/74395776#Comment_74395776

I got it a few years back.
Give it an extra few days rather than the exact 6 months.

Don't like their bland black and white app?  That's a good enough reason.

Did you mention the £50 when contacting them to cancel

    I don't think so.
I think they offered so didn't need to mention.

How long after switching to a new bank did it take for you to get the first direct bonus. And how did they pay it out. Was it transferred to your new account?
