As I said. It's not useless.... I still use it daily... in the UK.Thrugelmir said:

Bittrex also have similar technical products and I dont believe they were banned. I guess I could just use Bittrex instead of Binance?Thrugelmir said:

No dodgier than any of the other un-regulated exchanges out there. And they are the biggest. Wouldn’t surprise me if they are making 10-50m in txn fees daily. Which is relevant as they are now so wealthy that they don’t need to be dodgy to make money. Plus if they have outages or even get hacked, they make people good and funds are SAFU. I use it every single dayZola. said:I would never give Binance a penny, personally. Dodgy company.0 -
I’m actually intrigued to what you mean by technical products if not trading crypto in some way?Bittrex also have similar technical products and I dont believe they were banned. I guess I could just use Bittrex instead of Binance?
Kraken, Coinbase Pro, Bitstamp and a few others should all have the safe features. I’ve got a verified account at a few of them0 -
It doesn't seem like the FCA has done anything more than make an announcement. Binance pulled its services from the UK temporarily in reaction to the news, but it seems like everything is back to normal now.Thrugelmir said:

Dodgy company. The only restrictions I'm aware of are around outward payments: Natwest said they were limiting the size of outward transfers (to crypto exchanges they had identified, including Binance and others), while HSBC stopped outward credit card payments and Barclays stopped outward credit and debit card payments. Barclays stressed it was not doing anything that would impact customers ability to withdraw funds from Binance. These restrictions were put in place immediately following the FCA statement and I don't know if they are still in force. There has been a lack of news flow on this since Binance resumed Faster Payment withdrawals in the UK towards the end of August. It's all a bit pointless unless all crypto exchanges are totally banned in the UK. Anyone can still send their crypto to Binance in order to exchange, if they so wished.0 -
Yes, it's fine. But even if they don't, you can easily just transfer your funds to another wallet like coinbase and then transfer to a UK bank from there.Thrugelmir said:

Really there is nothing the FCA can do about people using decentralised exchanges. They are falling so far behind its laughable.1 -
Thanks. What has changed for you since the ban? Anything? I have read this here: Binance UK: HSBC joins Barclays and Clear Junction in stopping payments to Binance as crackdown on cryptocurrency exchange continues | The ScotsmanMalkytheheed said:

"UK customers using Binance services will still be able to use the platform but still do not have access to Faster Payment channel withdrawals allowing them to access their cryptocurrency as British pound sterling.".
As you say; you can transfer the crypto to coin base and then withdraw the GBP. Also the article says:
"The FCA does, however, have a deadline of March 31 2022 which crypto asset businesses must meet and register by in order to continue trading in the UK."
Does this have any bearing?0
