Gleeson Homes - Garage dimensions

I would say almost certainly no judging by the silence at the end of the phone if I dared ask the garage dimensions.TheJP said:Does anyone realistically buy a new build thinking they can fit a car in the garage or comfortability on the drive?
But I do know of a car enthusiast who convinced his developer boss to build larger garages on a new estate and following successful sales they continued developing at the larger size where planning conditions allow, believing it to be a more attractive selling point than previously anticipated.0 -
I'm pretty sure there are as far as newbuilds are concerned. Not sure whether generally-applied standards as such, but the planners will want to check the terms are being used realistically.ohdarn said:There really ought to be minimum sizes for garages and bedrooms.0 -
If their houses are anything to go by, expect the garage to be hilariously small in size.
Recently looked at a 4 bed detached "Longford". 81.74sqm, only a shade bigger than a 2 up 2 down! And the 4th bedroom had a big chunk of unusable floor space due to a massive box covering the stairway. Not enough room to swing a cat, or just do a full turn with your arms stretched out
How they get away with building houses so small is beyond me.0 -
There's a company called Octagon who do some nice new builds. Cheap new builds will be small. Expensive new builds aren't. It's to do with the price not the age.0
