Thanks @EssexHebridean that's my plan!

So I've paid off my Barclaycard in full now so I'm at around 4.7K.

I plan on cleaning the house and that's about it today

  • Hi gang, spendy day here as took gds to soft play with dd. We did have a drink and a snack but had lunch back at dd's.

So after my dd being ill since she gave birth (22 months ago now) I battled with the mental health team to take it seriously and she was finally seen by a psychiatrist and as I suspected her diagnosis was wrong. She and I had been asking for 2 years to see a Dr for a review. They put her on some medication and now 6 weeks on the change is remarkable. She is clearly on the road to recovery, she sent me a text yesterday saying she thinks the medication is helping and she is now able to function again, doing all the things she couldn't do for so long. I've got my dd back

oh went shopping for me today as I had no time

Picked up a couple of ys things at asda

    reading e-books for uni

Had to drive 45 mins to pick up my work laptop that I left at a work function yesterday. Lucky it was there!

That's all! So much to do tomorrow!

Aw, that's lovely news DNMS, glad to hear your dd is on the road to recovery 😘

I've just cancelled my Audible membership after I reinstated it a couple of months ago - £7.99 a month saved. Joined the local library and I can get 3 audio books a month through the app. Not as great choice but I don't really mind. 🤑

EH - You'll never believe what happened - got my shopping delivered today and raw chicken had burst all over the rest of the meat and fish and other bits. A whole bagful had to go back! so much for meal planning... 🤣

Sausages out of the freezer for lunch something or other tomorrow... Will try to be creative! 😋

Washing hanging on the airer and more to sort tomorrow 🤔

So pleased to hear that your daughter is recovering DNMS :)
Been to an outdoor market / car boot sale this morning - early start. Got bargainous cheese, mushrooms and bananas, some new socks, a book for OH and a few things to sell on.
I have put the heating on as it was only 17 degrees in here - I hate winter :#
Just freecycled a damaged camping cupboard thing. The fabric, or some of it, was damaged I think by exposure to sunlight, and the recipient is happy to repair it. More clutter cleared, and it will get used again. I have a couple more camping items to list now that DS has taken what he wants, so I will look them out this afternoon.
I am wanting to do some gardening after lunch :)
Dinner will be steak and chips :)

Oh Lord what a mess that chicken must have made - not surprised you sent it back La_es! Definitely some creative cooking coming up then!

And Dawn - great freecycling, nice that the thing will be used by someone else.

We’ve had one of those days where it feels like you’ve not done much but actually a decent mix of doing and downtime I reckon. Lazy morning (much needed), then after breakfast walked to Al’s for some storecupboard odds and ends then back to the rugby club to pick MrEH’s car up as he left it there yesterday. Roast lamb for lunch - sorted out the veg box, did the washing up and gave the kitchen a quick S/S while it was finishing off, then a wander round the local RSPB reserve this afternoon before coming home and sorting out a few oddments of garden stuff. Finished up with batch cooking a pot of bolognese sauce and making the chests aubergine parmigiana for tomorrow evening - that’s just finishing off in the oven now social just need a reheat tomorrow night. Last job will be to prep and roast the squash for Tuesday evening while the oven is still hot. I’m enjoying feeling focused enough at the moment to do some meal prep ahead for the week - and of course it means we have more of our evening spare as well.
