Cheap place for computer parts online

Depends on what you are looking to buy, but generally I'd say eByuer - though it is worth looking around sometimes - I was about to buy a DVD DL burner from eBuyer and, just before committing to pay, did a Google search to find out more info about it - and found the same drive was on Play.com, of all places, and the total including free shipping was about £3 less than eBuyer's price...

Thats the trouble with online shopping - the prices change in real time. I've known people put things in their baskets at one price and when they checkout the items have changed price ( up AND down ). eBuyer are especially good at this because the buy in huge quantities and therefore this affects the price on the website.
Hmmm, never had a problem with them myselfABH wrote:Likewise I would avoid overclockers.co.uk
. But the forums makes interesting reading.
I would always be prepared to pay a few pennies more for good aftercare if things went wrong.ABH wrote:I would also remind you that cheap isn't necessarily the best option when purchasing computer components.

I've not had a problem with overclockers either and I've found scan's customer service to be excellent personally.
I tend to use scan as I find that is usually the cheapest especially on a today only offer, excluding postage which I don't pay anyway."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Bizarrely, https://www.play.com seem to be remarkably cheap for computer stuff.
Surprising large array of stuff too.
A better search / category system would help them though.
It's a bit of a chore finding exactly what you want.0 -
I sometimes overlook play myself and forget it does have quite a range of pc components. One thing to bare in mind though is that you're buying outside of the UK and so you have no protection from the sale of goods act and distance selling regulations. Normally this wouldn't put me off play but it would certainly give me second thoughts on anything substantial/expensive in case anything went wrong (e.g. fault after 13 months)."She is quite the oddball.
