Hi All,
I am just checking before I place an order with ebuyer to see if there is anywhere out there cheaper for computer parts.
I have tried the following:
Ebuyer
Aria
Overclockers
Scan
Dabs
If there is one that you guys have use and can recommend without having a trade account that would be great.

MicroDirect have good prices - but be warned; they are pants at customer care.
I had major problems ( broken promises, no call backs, ignored emails ) and in the end drove to Manchester and dealt with them face to face.
Do a search for user reviews - I'm not alone....
Would highly recommend:-
CCLOnline
Ebuyer
Overclockers UK
All excellent service with very fast delivery.“That old law about 'an eye for an eye' leaves everybody blind. The time is always right to do the right thing.”0 -
dabs are a waste of space. rarely do they have anything cheaper than aria etc...
and you cannot collect anymore.Get some gorm.0 -
Have used http://www.ginger6.com/ in the past without any problemsCheers

As are Scan and Pixmania. The prices are so close between all of them, Id be quite happy to take the one with good customer service. Dabs dont do a bad job in that respect, although none are great."I'm not even supposed to be here today."0 -

I would avoid aria.co.uk as they have zero respect for the sale of goods act in my experience. Infact if it comes to it they will pass you onto some guy called 'Darren' who will argue that the sale of goods act doesn't actually apply to them as they're 'different than other companies' :suspect: :rotfl:
Likewise I would avoid overclockers.co.uk
http://forums.hexus.net/shopping-retail-therapy/101108-overclockers-co-uk-how-dodgy.html
http://www.thedvdforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=304325&page=11
not to be confused with https://www.overclock.co.uk (note the lack of an 's' at the end of the url) Who are a different outfit entirely and offer better customer services.
Likewise scan.co.uk used to be known as scam.co.uk for their dodgy practices, through an all out marketting campaign where they offer 5% of all orders if you actively post on either hexus.net or avforums.co.uk and mention your profile in your order to qualify. I fell for that a couple of weeks ago as did a friend who I sugested purchase his new graphics card through them. They've not changed, we're both still waiting refunds him £400 for his new graphics card that doesn't work, and I for a psu that doesn't work.
From your list I would however use ebuyer.co.uk and add novatech.co.uk and add yoyotech.co.uk
I would also remind you that cheap isn't necessarily the best option when purchasing computer components. As I suspect you're looking for reliability in aftersales is good at novatech.co.uk, overclock.co.uk, yoyotech.co.uk, ebuyer.co.uk and cclonline.co.uk
HTHIt could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.0 -
I've also used Komplett and Novatech and both have given good service. Another one you could try is yoyotech. However generally I find ebuyer hard to beat for price. They used to have a poor reputation for service but I've never had any problems with them. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0
