Virgin media will be stopping PAYG soon. I've always been on their PAYG so don't know if I can take my old Virginmedia number with me. I've got the PAC code and have seen a cheap PAYG Vodafone mobile. Can I change over to Vodafone and keep my old number?
Re Virginmedia broadband comparison - I have a landline, anytime calls including 0845, and 100Mb broadband for £34. Is this reasonable?

Just to say appalling, my view, behaviour from this provider. Contract expires 2 Aug, phoned for 'best price for renewal', "£45".
Said 'too much, try harder, can get a lot less elsewhere'. Wouldn't budge. So entered new contact with new provider, £33, same speed, same calls package.
So took 3 attempts to notify intention not to renew, each call > 30 min wait (can only be done by phone, they say).
3rd attempt 'lucky' BUT only after being told they could renew for £34 ie I was lied to earlier.
All this took all afternoon.
Plus added bonus that because the charges are payable in advance, I'll be in credit but told it takes 45 days to be sent the change.
Normally even-tempered, but this has made me quite angry. New provider = Vodaphone can I expect better ie more truthful service quality?
(Product = 100Mb/s broadband, + 'free' anytime landline+calls to mobiles and inland real tel..nos.)0 -
