Couldn't you have stopped the card in the app?Sandtree said:Very rarely need to contact them but recently did with the Mrs' having lost her additional card to my account. Going through call steering the automated system is much worse than it used to be and ultimately told me to go online or phone back during opening hours... not really the sort of message you want when someone is potentially running around with your contactless credit card.
Ultimately went through the Barclay's current account side and got it sorted but even then it took almost an hour on the phone all in with them being unsure if the could cancel just the secondary card or if a replacement can be sent to a temp overseas addressI came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.0 -
I dont think so and they didnt know... with Barclay/Barclaycard only the account holder has a log in unlike AmEx where she has her own log in as a secondary card holder.Shakin_Steve said:

Barclay's app has a cards section which shows 1) debit card (my name only) 2) Barclaycard Platinum (have secondary cardholders). Choose the "see PIN" under the Barclaycard and it only shows my PIN and not hers. There is a cancel card button but it doesnt initially say if it cancels mine only, all or give me a choice and if you do decide to take a punt and press it says you have to phone them.0 -

As I say, when I look in the app I can only see one card not mine plus my secondary cardholders, the card details button under it only brings back my card details not the others and the Report Lost or Stolen button says "we need further details please call" after which the call steering said they are open 8-8 and to call back during those hours (cannot remember the exact hours). Also checked under the "Manage additional cardholders" but it only gives the option to add new cardholders and says to remove a cardholder you must phone them.
Would love to know how to actually cancel just 1 secondary cardholder's card from the app0 -
Anyone who says Barclaycard has the worst customer service is obviously not a customer of Revolut...1

On both occasions the service over the phone has been dire. Apart from the usual issues trying to get through, on one occasion an agent cut me off mid conversation and on another occasion after waiting some time on the phone the auto bot promptly directed me to a FAQ page and disconnected. I'm beginning to think Barclays are as bad as travelodge when it comes to trying to contact.0 -

The wife and I have banked with Barclays and had Barclaycard's for a lot of years. I can honestly say we've never had any problems at all.I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.1
