Think about getting a dashcam with parking mode if this bothers you. Unfortunately they aren't all that great, generally only point forwards and don't run for that long while parked, but they are getting better.0

This wouldn't have proven a thing as the cars were side by side.[Deleted User] said:Think about getting a dashcam with parking mode if this bothers you. Unfortunately they aren't all that great, generally only point forwards and don't run for that long while parked, but they are getting better.
At best it might have shown the car 'rocking' a bit and maybe some noise, then the other car driving away.
But no better proof than what he has already.
Tesla are the only one offering a true answer, with their all-round sentry mode cameras.
If you google 'woman keying Tesla' you can see her being caught by the B-pillar camera.

I can confirm what BOWFER said is correct. Unless your camera shows them clear as day then the powers that be don't give a toss.I caught a bin lorry on my dash cam driving pretty close to me and you can hear as his rear end gets level with my wing mirror the impact.Smashed my wing mirror (for anyone wanting to start up over 'wing' since this is the pedantic show ... save yourself, i'm not interested). I got in touch with the company and insurance - nobody was interested as it didn't show the actual impact. The noise could've been anything apparently.0

Or talk to the car owner and see where it gets you?pumpkinman said:Well that's fairly conclusive. Guess I just suck it up then. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
You can get a dual one which records at he back as well, there is a good chance that would have caught the culprit. You can get ones that cover the sides as well now, but they are a bit of effort to fit.BOWFER said:

It's sad that no other manufacturers offer the Tesla style system. It does waste a lot of electricity but I'm sure someone else could sort that out.0 -
You could try and claim via M.I.B (Motor Insurance Bureau), one of the things they require is make and model of car and reg number.0
