Can I take out a new vodafone contract via mobiles.co.uk if currently on a contract with vodafone?
I have a contract with vodafone which I originally got via mobiles.co.uk due to cashback. The contract has now expired, so I'm free to take out a new contract. I found a cheaper deal than I'm on now, again available via mobiles.co.uk with vodafone. It doesn't say anywhere that this is only for new customers.
Can I take out this new contract and transfer my current number to the new SIM card they send me? If yes, will my current contract be cancelled if once I transfer my number? I'm unsure if this is possible due to it being the same network provider, I've only changed contracts before on new networks via PAC codes which won't apply in this situation.

In addition, during the sign-up process on mobiles.co.uk it states the below which implies this may be allowed. I can't find anything in the terms and conditions that answer my original question:
"Important Information for Vodafone contracts
If you have an existing Vodafone contract in your name, please specify below. We are required by the network to provide this for credit check purposes."

I've swapped from Vodafone PAYM to Vodafone PAYM (via Tesco PAYG sim). Both were cheap cashback deals but unlike your case they were with different third parties. No problems at all. I guess that since 3rd party cheap deals are possible because networks pay "commission" to sign up "new" customers then if the networks pay up then 3rd parties don't care. Has anyone ever been knocked-back from one of these deals for not being a "new" customer?1
