Hi

Just recently took up a 30gb sim deal with Talkmobile as an alternative to Smarty. I just wanted to give my first impressions for anyone thinking of using them. Like Smarty they offer a no frills alternative to the main networks and seem to get mixed reviews. I first sent for an Asda Mobile free sim to test signal strength and download speed. Unfortunately the sim didn't come with any free data but the signal strength looked good.
The order and connection process for the Talkmobile sim was very smooth and once I'd tested the coverage over a few days I ported my old number and again all went smoothly. Also tried the online chat service (telephone customer service is overseas I think) and got a quick response and my query was actioned very swiftly. So all good so far.

Cheers
