You probably do. Tesco have a confusing range of similar sounding products.

The Clubcard Pay+ Card is definitely free - this is the link you want: https://www.tesco.com/zones/clubcard-pay-plus

Sadly my Tesco Bank Account is closing at the end of next month and I will miss the feature where, before I went shopping, I could transfer £50 (or some other amount that I didn't want to spend above) and go to the shops without the risk of me forgetting how much I have in my shopping trolly and going over my 'limit'.  If I'd gone to a few shops and my next shop was going to take me over the balance in my account, the transaction would be declined (as it should be) rather than me going into unarranged overdraft.
Does anyone else belong to a bank that has the same feature please?  I will miss it!
Many banks offer a feature that makes life easier than the transaction being declined. They will send a text advising that you are over your limit & you have until a certain time to bring it back in credit.
Far less stressful than having a transaction declined & then having to move money & then ring co to pay again.
    Life in the slow lane

Thank you Daliah!  I certainly was looking at the wrong product!

I have just applied and have been accepted and my new Clubcard Pay+ account is already showing in my Tesco Bank App.  Thanks again!

Thanks born_again but I don't want to go over the amount I would have allocated as my shopping money on the day (as that is very easy to do!)

@socks_uk since your Tesco current account will get closed, and you said that you have a Nationwide current account, have you considered switching the Tesco current account to Nationwide? They'll pay you £125 if you meet the T&Cs, which should be easy enough to do

@Daliah Unfortunately I don't qualify because all my direct debits already come out of one of my 3 Nationwide accounts. I only ever used my Tesco current account for shopping, but thank you anyway!

Just set up a couple of small charity donations. You can cancel them once you have been paid the £125, and you'll still be left with well over £100. You have to put your skates on though as it can take up to a fortnight to have the DDs active.
