this was my decision to leave 40 hours full time job to a new 20 hours per week job.
so change of employers and hours.

24 hrs job finished late Feb, redundancy.
so latest job is 3rd Employer during 2021.
    thanks
So that employment has nothing to do with your present situation - unless you underpaid tax and HMRC are adjusting this year's (2021-22) tax code in order to recoup it rather than asking for a lump sum payment.

I wondered as suggested as I left Full Time Role on 1 weeks notice (I have m.s. it wasn't disputed)
P45 hasn't been verbally mentioned or received via Post.

    1st 20 hour wage

    Taxable Gross 960.96
    Income Tax 192.00
    N.I.1.70

    week 1
    month 1

    total paid 193.70
Your new employer hasn't used a tax code so you've been taxed at 20% on all of your income. Once your employer gets a P45 your tax will be corrected.

If you're on the standard personal allowance (£12570), and don't have tax arrears, you'll pay no Income tax.

*** I assume £960.96 is for a month, giving an annual income of £11531, and not just 20 hours, which would give you an annual income of £50000

National Insurance for £960.96 a month should be £19.67

960.96 is for maybe over 1 month as I started late Sept.

Seems missing P45 is my concern, yet I'm no longer in contact with previous Employers from what was w.f.h. job.

    thanks

Totally confused as I have another Full Time wage paid in today from ex Full Time Employers.

    I suspect I could try an e-mail to ex F.T Employers H.R.
    if they choose to reply.

    Thanks mser's

If this is wages you are not entitled to then you should contact them to sort this out, but make sure it is not any money due to you say for example for holiday pay accrued but not taken or for some of the last month that is paid in arrears.
  • And that would explain the lack of a P45, they wouldn't be sending you one if they still (within their payroll system) had you down as still working for them!!

That is likely to mean the tax you paid on the 20hr job is correct for October.
