Retrace your steps on the site when booking. They could have put in place a slipper way to trick people. If they have go for a chargeback and explain to the card company the reason why. Or maybe you didn't read the address properly and instead of ending .co.uk it read .com.
You know what uranium is, right? It's this thing called nuclear weapons. And other things. Like lots of things are done with uranium. Including some bad things.

  • If you’ve ever had experience in dating sites you willl know to access messaging that in most cases you need to pay for a subscription, which is the case for eharmony.

Sorry, I've got no advice, but thanks for letting me know.  I'll make sure to avoid eHarmony in the future.  What a nightmare, especially if there is no-one local on it!

They'll all be local, just perhaps not near you.  You can't really dismiss a service for not providing local matches for an unknown person in an unspecified location.  OP might live somewhere like Margate or Penzance, where much of the potential audience within an hour's radius would be fish.

    There is no chargeback right.
OP has payed for a service & received the service. It's a 3 month contract. Unless Eharmony are prepared to refund.

Only thing their bank can do is cancel the Recurring transaction going forward. But OP also needs to do that with Eharmony.

Op has not actually said where they live, for all we know they may live in the Outer Hebrides & as such most people other than locals will be a hour away 🤷‍♂️

It has been said that you get better matches on paid dating sites. People put more effort in as they are paying for it.

Chargeback wouldn't have worked even if there was a valid claim, as the OP paid via Paypal-so no direct link from card provider to supplier.

The most important and first thing the OP needs to do is give the required notice in the required format to cancel the contract renewal and thus ensure that no further payments are taken.  That will at least cap the OP's exposure.

    Thanks missed that...
Even a paypal dispute would not anyway.

But best for OP to go into their paypal account and stop the ongoing payment. Very easy to do.
