New carpet - Recommended company?

I'm looking for a new carpet for a bedroom. What carpet company would you recommend that you've had a good experience with that has good quality carpets, a good fitting service, etc..?
Also, is there anything else to keep in mind such as certain types of carpets being a better choice than others?
Thanks for any advice.

I'd only use a local company, so unlikely any recommendation would also be local to you.3

I'd recommend avoiding chains and getting a local recommendation from friends and family. The price and service is generally much better and they can give you advice.3

Again, local people to fit.I'm a bit of a fan of Cormar carpets. We use it for clients a lot as it seems to be a crowd pleaser. Sensation seems to be a nice mix of quality and price. We have Gemini in our bedroom, purchased from the Big Red Carpet company. If you can find a fitter separately then you can buy the carpet online and save quite a bit.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Thanks for the advice.I don't know of any friends or family who have recently had a carpet fitted so I can't get any recommedations there. Are Flooring Hut good? I see they have Comar Sensation carpets there.0

It's the carpet (and the price) that you want to be good, but if you google 'flooring hut reviews' you will find several review sites for them.Marvqn1 said:Thanks for the advice.I don't know of any friends or family who have recently had a carpet fitted so I can't get any recommedations there. Are Flooring Hut good? Always local store for carpets. Knowledgable and generally competetively priced.0

We used John Lewis last year to supply and fit carpets for our living room, hall, stairs and landing.
The price was competitive and we were very satisfied.A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".1 -
I used Tapi Carpet, Carpet OK , not great but hassle free service and nice fitting. This was for the property I was selling however although there was no issue with service and fitting I was slightly disappointed with quality of carpet ( I will give them 4 star)0

I used a local place. Bought the end of a roll and got 40% off. They fit it for me and took the old carpet away.0
