Money to Cyprus?

I tried to send some money (€375) to someone in Cyprus from my Starling account but they say that CY don't accept their cheaper transfer fee and that I had to pay a fiver for Swift (?) - I declined!

I usually use currency fair, who charge £3, and thought Starling may be cheaper ... alas, no!

Any other alternatives?

I did say €375, which sort of answers both questions!   

The Republic of Cyprus uses Euro - not the occupied northern area which I think uses YTL
