ParkingEye - overstaying in LIDL carpark

  • I appreciate this is a very upsetting matter and I am so sorry that you were unhappy with our previous response.

Who at Lidl writes this rubbish.  A CEO who appears to be totally disconnected with his custtomers?
A customer service dept who simply cannot read the Parking Eye manual ?

I am not a fan of Lidl especially when the big supermarkets are price matching with far better products.

No point in going to a cheapo supermarket hoping to save 30% plus when a parking cowboy will add another £100 ???   Lidl could actually be the most expensive CHEAPO supermarket in the UK thanks to a CEO who really is out of touch by allowing a cowboy to rule the roost

Have you tried to personally talk to the manager of the store, they may be able to do something. (It helped me with Matalan).

    Good luck!

Barclays claimed £260, solved with £75
Barclayscard -> HFO Services claimed £2000, not solved yet :(

Dear Lidl, shame you have now lost the opportunity to keep me (not to mention my friends and family) as loyal customers.  Other supermarkets are available. Good-bye!
In business losing customers that absorb a disportionate amount of valuable time aren't considered a loss.

Maybe that works for one customer but multiply it by the number we see on here and they should add it up and see how it affects their turnover, profit and jobs of everyone at Lidl from the shelf-stacker down to the lowly CEO.

Whilst I agree with you @Le_Kirk ... I've given up using my local  Aldi having driven round the car park and found no spaces free on several occasions. There is a cost to the business if the car park is full on non-customers too.
  • Quote from LIDL - “In order to ensure our customers are able to park without waiting for a space we have Car Park Management in place with time restrictions on length of stay.”

Yet ParkingEye signage state they operate 24/7 - unlike LIDL

A good point, why not raise it with Lidl.  Also ask about parking over lines.
