ParkingEye - overstaying in LIDL carpark

Hi all
My partner has just received NTK for an overstay in a LIDL car park. It’s free parking with a maximum stay of 90 mins. She did shop at LIDL but unfortunately went walkies and lost track of time. ANPR claims a stay of 101 mins and 17 seconds - 11 mins and 17 seconds past the maximum stay.
Unfortunately not a golden ticket so that’s that avenue closed. and unfortunately signs look ok other than can see no planning consent for signage or ANPR
I’ve trawled through a lot of LIDL threads and can see all appeals/complaints fall on deaf ears so I’ve skipped plan A and appealed PCN with ParkingEye
I’ve made reference to the fact that there is a grace period of “at least 10 minutes in the BPA CoP, and highlighted the fact that where the cameras appear to pick up the car in the entry slip road which hardly constitutes being in the carpark and if cameras had picked up the car actually IN the car park the time recorded would likely to be less than 11 minutes.
I also expressed my thoughts that the “at least 10 minutes” was put in place before covid restrictions extended the time of shopping, ie waiting for and cleaning trolleys, waiting for shelves to be replenished, social distancing etc, and some leeway should be given, and if this and any subsequent POPLA appeal failed that ONE of my points of appeal would be De Minimis.
it’s £90 now or £45 within 14 days.
Any thoughts on which way to go with this
Many Thanks

Looks like a sound plan. I would be telling Lidl that your partner has enjoyed shopping there but can no longer afford to do so if every shopping trip comes with a £90 surcharge. They are sure that their friends and family will also be of the same mind. Other supermarkets are available.5

Definitely try plan A , no solution is better than plan A !
An appeal to Parking Eye with proof of patronage is ALWAYS a good idea too , especially if they have complied with POFA2 -
As said above .... Lidl have a problem, they don't connect to the fact that customers spend money instore and the cowboy parking companies they employ keep all the scam money ???
Is the CEO of Lidl that stupid ??3 -
I did some more trawling through the threads - found one where LIDL inscancelled an Athena ticket for a 12 minute overstay so I have no actioned Plan A albeit after Plan B - I have pointed out they set a precedent by cancelling a longer overstay1

Always good to have a precedent to rely on, albeit you can only use it to pressure Lidl as there will be no legal weight behind it.3

Have you complained to your MP?You never know how far you can go until you go too far.-1
