its probably me usually is but I have been browsing the deals. i was looking at Shell and I dont use the internet much. definitely not for gaming. The cheapest deal was for £12.83 effective monthly cost.. £16.99 month and £50 bill credit.. But when I go onto their website through Get this deal, They are stating £16.99 month including the credit. i.e. originally £25.99 month. ! I am going to check other deals. Is this printed wrong?

Normally you click on a link on "this website" to get the deal. If you just go straight there from Google you won't see said deal.

They also give a phone number to contact if you have to use Shell .

There are three prices and two "discounts" being shown. The 25.99 is the line rental / broadband price at the end of the fixed term contract (ie after 12 or 18 months). The 15.99 or 16.99 a month is the Shell price that you pay for the fixed term. Then the £50 bill credit is a one off payment into your broadband account . The MSE comparison site list the "effective monthly cost" which shares the bill credit over the months of the contract.
So when you click on the link you are seeing the payments for the fixed term of the contract. I always take a screen grab showing these additional credits, as they are not always in the contract t&c's but form an additional promotion.0 -
I don't know where MSE get their data from for their comparison site but it seems to be somewhat out-of-date.
No matter what postcode you enter, the fastest offering from TalkTalk is Fibre 150.
However they've been offering Fibre 250 + FTTP products for quite some time now.0
