I'm using the bionsen crystals to which you add water and then spray, they were a very good price in Tesco and 2 for 3, plus you can refill them up to 4 times. No-one's complained ...

I did have the rocks like nearlyrich describes but they can be a bit sharp after a while!

When I used mine I put it on as soon as I came out of the shower so my skin was still wet, no need to faf about with cold water.

Also, I found when I initially did wet it, it ended up with water stuck in the plastic base.
Proud to be a moneysaver!
  • yes, the crystal ones are great I think, but they will not mask any existing smells - you need to put it on after a shower or wash, then they work great, no nasty niffs - but you cant bung it on on top of whiffs and expect it to zap them!!

I do the same thing, after the shower. Works great. I also have a roll-on one that I bought out of curiosity. It works well wrt smell/odour, but it's a bit harder to control the moisture when putting it on.

As mentioned, it doesn't keep you dry, but the part of conventional products that's under attack is the anti-perspirant. There are some indications that long-term use can raise your risk of cancer, particularly in the lymph nodes and/or breasts.

I use the spray on pitrock one. It works fantastic on me, OH and teenage son. I use the non purfumed one. The only thing I don't like is that it has aluminium as one of the ingredients.
  • the lush solid aromant deo is great then pat a powder one over the top. the powder ones lone arnt enough!
  • I use the pitrok spray too and so does my husband and we think it is fantastic, I started using the crystal but I have found the spray much more effective.

    I got mine from www.ecotopia.co.uk
  • Aromaco (not aromant) and Tom's of Maine Woodspice are the best I've tried. I don't find the pitrock spray that effective.

i just discovered crystal deodorants a few months ago and now my partner uses one as does my mom, grandmother and father! I should've bought stock in the company  . seriously, i would never go back to anything else now.
  • I use the solid pitrock and love it :)
By the way if you can get to a BodyCare shop they do it for a couple of quid against Boots' £6 or so!
